Welcome to the Havering Section, we are a small but friendly bunch of cyclists that meet in all weathers outside Roomes (Home and Fashion) Store, Station Road, Upminster on Sunday mornings for a ride out into the countryside. We offer rides to suit ( we hope ) everyone with longer and shorter rides on alternate Sundays.

Our longer ride starts at 09:30 and our lunchtime destinations are normally the pubs and cafes of Essex, but we occasionally venture into Kent and Hertfordshire. We ride at a leisurely pace. Our mileage ? in the winter it`s about 30-40 miles, in the summer about 40-70 miles and sometimes beyond.

Our shorter ride starts at 10:00 and is called a Softees Ride, these rides are for new riders and those looking for an unhurried ride. Mileage during the winter months is between 15-20 miles, sometimes less depending on the weather. Come summer and the mileage can be up to 40 miles, but with plenty of stops for a cuppa or two.

Please note: Under 16 year olds must be accompanied by a parent / guardian on all our rides.
