What happens next?
If we have persuaded you to take up cycling and perhaps ride with your local CTC group then we suggest you take the following steps:
1) Check that your bike is in good condition, that the tyres are OK and the brakes work well,
2) Try out a short distance ride around local lanes of perhaps 10 miles distance to check that you have the basic fitness.
3) Send an e-mail to the Secretary of your nearest Essex section so that we can welcome you on a club run. (details on the

4) Arrive at the start - Welcome!
